The EKG Security Team!
EKG Security focuses on its people to ensure that we may deliver outstanding service to our clients and communities. In order to provide differentiated service to our employees and clients, we provide the customization of a small company but also provide the resources that larger providers give to their constituents. We stay within the bounds of the limits we set on our managers when servicing clients (no more than 15 clients or 2,500 hours per week of service per manager) and employees (a dedicated HR team that includes dedicated recruiters and a full suite of benefits for our employees). Our focus is to provide you with the best security team possible!
What makes EKG Security different?
- Security officer retention that is 4x better than our competition!
- Security officer pay that is above average for every area that we serve!
- Training that can be delivered where the officer needs it: at the client site, on demand (cloud based), and at our offices.
- A pathway to promotion and a desire to promote within.

Training & Pathway to Success
We also focus on training by always providing training in excess of state mandates. The following development pathway diagrams how EKG develops its employees and provides a pathway to success. Our training builds from our orientation course to our Basic Security Officer course to Senior Management. EKG uses a balance of online, classroom, on the job, and practical courses to develop our personnel and add value to our clients and employees.
Specific examples of our investment in our personnel are:
- Sponsoring employees for American Heart Association Instructor and Heart-Saver certifications.
- Reimbursing managers who desire to complete the ASIS Certified Protection Professional certification.
- Sponsoring employee education costs (college, technical education, etc.).
Security Officer Wages
Price is a major factor when making a decision on any service, including security services. However, value should be the largest consideration. A fair price involves quality and value to receive an excellent return on your investment. The most effective way to accurately compare pricing is to know what the average wages are in your area for the service you seek. The US Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor & Statistics and private economic institute recent wage reports for security officers allows you to make an “apples to apples” comparison. Please contact our office if you would like a copy of your area’s report.
